DRYPOINT
Join me for a 5 session workshop on Drypoint Printmaking.
This class is offered for adults (18 years and older) and will meet on the following Wednesdays: October 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm
Drypoint is a printmaking technique that produce results that look like a pen or pencil drawing with a special twist. It’s also the easiest way to learn intaglio printmaking before diving into etching or aquatint.
Instruction includes detailed demonstrations of step-by-step processes, safety tips with the required tools, on the spot problem solving each step of the way and general information about Fine Art Printmaking techniques, framing suggestions and vendors for materials. You also get one-on-one consultation with me throughout the making of your project and group discussions and constructive critiques about each other's art.
The drypoint class will give you the foundation for the rest of the classes at the studio. You’ll learn paper and ink management, press functions and you’ll come away with a small edition of original prints that are at the same time both unique and copies of each other. It may sound confusing, but it's not! Take the class and learn what it all means.
