Opening August 19, 2024, at the Lipscomb Gallery in the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities. Existing Now: Marty Epp-Carter and Elaine Quave is the two-person exhibit of both artists' most current work. Quave's ceramic creations morph together the connection between the human body and the natural world resulting in at once familiar and strange plant-like forms that encourage the viewer to look closer and within on a journey of wonder. Epp-Carter's intricate collages integrate the bold with the subtle, appropriating cast-offs of their own work to create something both known and new.
The exhibit runs until October 2nd, 2024 with an artist talk Thursday, September 26th at 4:30 in the gallery. Free and open to the public. Check in at the Visitor's Center to be admitted onto campus.
